Ask for device name at first startup

Just an idea: people often don't know, that they can give names to their devices.
Is it possible to ask for the devices name at first startup?

It could be an idea, but I generally don't want to mess up the first impression. People are more likely to be impressed if everything just works by itself, rather than them having to enter a lot of information (yeah, I know the device name is not a lot, but if I add that, there's a lot of other settings that could be presented on first launch too). I think the people who need it will find it, but I can add a short text in the server window (the only place the device names show up anyway), to let them know that it is possible to change it.

You're right. I also don't like apps asking me for ... before they start. I didn't think about.
In the server window it's no use i think, cause the one who "opperates" the server knows that you can give names to the devices.

Other wooden weapons have the type of wood in the name: an exquisite ebonwood rudis.
But staves and quarterstaves dont: an exquisite staff.
Is it possible to upgrade the staves/quarterstaves to display the type of wood?
