#2 Re: Bugs and problems » Can't have the app running » 2019-08-26 07:28:35

Hi again! I received your log files now. I think maybe it is your config files that have been corrupted.

I suggest you try the following:

- Open a Run window (press Windows+R or open the start menu and open 'Run').
- Enter %appdata% into the Run prompt, and press 'Ok'. This opens your application data folder.
- Located the folder named 'MediaMonkey Remote Server', and rename it to something else (for example "MMRemote Server OLD").

This forces MMRemote Server to create new files, which may solve your issue. If it works, feel free to delete the old folder. (We just want to keep it temporarily in case something went wrong.)

Hi there! I replied to your e-mail. It looked like you maybe forgot to attach the file?

#4 Re: General feedback » Prevent duplicates for playlist? » 2019-08-11 08:45:52

Hi there!

You mean in the app on the phone, right? If you actually mean in MediaMonkey on your PC, that would be something you'd need to ask the MediaMonkey developers about.

But if you mean in the app, then the current answer is no -- there is no such option. But I can certainly add it to my todo list. Just don't expect anything too soon, I'm spending all my (already short) developing time to upgrade the remote to work with MediaMonkey 5 right now.

Hi there!

Please send the log data, that's very helpful. If you don't want to share it here, you can send it to my e-mail instead (erlend.dahl at gmail).

#6 Re: Bugs and problems » Sleep Timer no admission to Server? » 2019-06-29 09:57:34

Hi there!

First of all, sorry about the extremely delayed reply. I got a kid last year, so I've been a bit preoccupied.

Have a look at this FAQ entry: http://www.mmremote.net/FAQ/Single/?entry=notpermitted

#7 Re: Bugs and problems » Intent for shortcut to start playlist » 2019-06-29 09:56:13

Hi there!

First of all, sorry about the extremely delayed reply. I got a kid last year, so I've been a bit preoccupied.

The LibraryNode-ID and Type is actually the ID of the "thing" you want played (could be a playlist, an album, a track, and so on). The type tells us which of these types it is. If you're still interested in this, let me know, and I'll do some digging (can't actually remember how you're supposed to find the ID right now).

#8 Re: Bugs and problems » Video shown in Music collection » 2019-06-29 09:54:42

Hi there!

First of all, sorry about the extremely delayed reply. I got a kid last year, so I've been a bit preoccupied.

Thanks, I'll add this to my list. MediaMonkey is currently developing a new version (5), that will change a lot of the stuff behind the scenes, and allow developers of third-party apps (such as MMRemote) more control. I hope this can let me filter music/videos like you ask easier than before.

#9 Re: General feedback » When will a paid version be available? » 2019-06-29 09:53:19

Hi there!

First of all, sorry about the extremely delayed reply. I got a kid last year, so I've been a bit preoccupied.

I completely agree -- I hate adverts. There are no adverts in MMRemote, nor will there every be. There is, however, some "bonus features" if you donate, as a way of encouraging people to support the development.

You can read about the bonus features here: http://www.mmremote.net/FAQ/Single/?entry=bonusfeatures

#10 Re: General feedback » Server version 2.8? » 2019-06-29 09:51:42

Hi there!

First of all, sorry about the extremely delayed reply. I got a kid last year, so I've been a bit preoccupied.

There is (currently) no version 2.8 server, only 2.8 app. The server is stuck on 2.7 for now.

#13 Re: Bugs and problems » Album counts wrong » 2017-03-27 10:06:01

Thanks, I'll take a look at that!

#14 Re: Feature suggestions » Add additional widgets or widget resizing » 2017-03-14 08:11:22

Hi there!

That's a good point. I've put it on my todo list. smile

#15 Re: Bugs and problems » Add to Playlist » 2017-01-09 11:10:07

Hi there!

That's because MediaMonkey knows about all of the .m3u files, and reports these as playlists when the remote asks for a list of playlists. I don't think there is a simple way to get around that, other than move the .m3u files if you don't want to use them anyway. Or maybe name your playlists in such a way that they are sorted to the top of the list.

#16 Re: Bugs and problems » Change Ratings » 2017-01-09 11:08:48

Hi there!

I'm not sure. I'll do a little diggign in the MediaMonkey API and see if there is anything I can change.

#17 Re: Bugs and problems » Can't find server when using hotspot » 2016-12-14 07:55:51

Hi there!

It should work, as long as the computer and the phone is connected to the same network. If you can't make it work on the hotspot (firewalls would be my first guess, but it looks like you have tried that), maybe you could try using the mobile network? (for example 4G)

The important thing is that both of them needs to have some kind of direct connection to each other. As long as you make sure to open firewalls (and ports if you're going through a router), it should work.

#20 Re: Bugs and problems » Windows 10 MM remote server won't start anymore. » 2016-07-20 08:50:27

Huh, that sounds extremely strange, but nice that you got it working! wink

#21 Re: Bugs and problems » Android 6 volume control » 2016-06-30 10:32:51

Yeah, it's fixed! Download the newest update. smile

#22 Re: General feedback » Is there a way to turn on shuffle? » 2016-06-07 10:17:12

Hi there!

They are in the right side menu (at the bottom): http://mmremote.net/Content/features/me … nu.png?v=2

Also, if you  click "Help" in the left side menu, you will get a quick tutorial, showing you where everything is. smile

#23 Re: Bugs and problems » I am no longer able to RATE Tracks. » 2016-06-01 07:17:09

Hi there!

Since you're talking about "moving the cursor over them", and "right click"ing songs, I think you're talking about the MediaMonkey music player on your computer, is that right? This is the forum for my Android app that allows you to remote control MediaMonkey, it's not the forum for the actual MediaMonkey application. So I think you need to ask your question over at their forums: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/ smile

#24 Re: Bugs and problems » 'Go to letter' not working » 2016-05-18 10:41:32

Strange! Could you please try to do that a couple of times, and then quickly extract your server log for me to look at?

http://www.mmremote.net/FAQ/Single/?entry=findlog

You can post it here, or send it to me on e-mail (erlend.dahl at the gmail thing smile). It will most probably contain very little sensitive information (other than possibly the names of some of your songs).

#25 Re: Bugs and problems » 'Go to letter' not working » 2016-05-04 14:27:58

Hi again!

Huh, I took a look at it now. It seems to work on my phone. Could it be that you're trying to "go to" a letter of which you have no artists? For example, if you have no artists starting with "D", and pick "Go to D", nothing will happen.
